General

  • This really depends on the type of project and my current schedule. Usually between 1-4 weeks.

  • You will receive access to an online gallery, from which you’ll be able to download the files.

  • That depends completely on the type of session. Contact me for your specific request and I can give you a more detailed answer.

  • English, German, Spanish and Portuguese. I really enjoy being in intercultural environments. :)

  • As a documentary photographer, I am specialised in event photography, travel and lifestyle photography and documentary reportage. I also offer professional headshots with a candid approach and content creation for brands, as I love to translate a company’s mission into a visual story.

  • For a minimum of 6 months.

  • No. Raw or unedited images do not represent the work of a photographer. I like to use the painter’s metaphor as an explanation - no one would ask a painter to share her/his painting without having finished it. The same applies to the art of photography.

  • Yes!

  • No. A part of my job is to create a selection of images from the pile of photos that I took. This gives you a perfect curated selection of final pictures that best tell your story.

  • No, except for portrait shoots. In that case you will receive a selection of unedited pictures in low-resolution to choose from. This selection will then be edited and the high-resolution images sent to you.

  • Definitely! If you know which moments or details you want to have covered it makes my job more effective and gets you what you want.

  • Yes. If it’s a small amount and you let me know with some time in advance, I can organize my schedule to edit this selection for your social media usage.

Booking and cancellation

  • I try to make the booking process as easy as possible.

    After describing your request via email, phone or in person meeting, I’ll send you a personalised offer and a deposit invoice. Once the deposit is paid, your session is booked.

    I normally ask for a deposit of 50% the total value upfront, in the moment I share the offer, in order to reserve the date. And the remaining 50% to be paid upon delivery of the final photos.

  • I will make sure to provide a suitable, replacement photographer with a similar photo style.

  • For each additional hour I charge an extra amount that corresponds to the hourly rate charged. The value depends on the photo service.

  • You will receive an invoice with my bank details. If a bank transfer is not convenient for you, just let me know and together we will find the best way to make the payment.

  • It varies greatly, as it depends on the project.

  • You can cancel the photo service at any time prior to the event. If you cancel up to 15 days before the photo service, you will be entitled to a refund of any amount paid, except for the non-refundable deposit. If you cancel with less than 15 days' notice, no refund will be given.

    If I cancel, I will provide a suitable, replacement photographer, subject to your approval.

  • 100% yes! I'm a travel lover, so I'm always grateful for opportunities that enable me to explore other parts of the world. :)

Licensing and social media

  • No. Under copyright law, all images remain the property of Ana Torres Photography. As a customer you get the right of use and you can freely use the images for your own website, social media channels and small printing materials with a maximum of A4 paper size. However, these images cannot be printed in bigger formats, passed on and/ or resold to third parties (for commercial purposes) without explicit permission from the photographer and at extra costs.

  • Potentially yes. As photography is a visual product, people can only get an idea of what I offer if I share my work on my webpage. If you want the exclusive picture rights and don’t want them to be on my webpage, you can purchase an extra license for them.

  • The License to Use that is usually included covers the use of the photos for the client's website and social media channels.

    If you want to share the photos on other platforms, please contact me first.

  • Feel free to print photos up to the maximum of A4 paper size. For larger format printing, please get in touch.
